Veterinarian Emergency Room

Perez on Medicine - The Family Practitioner

AAHA-accredited hospitals adhere to rigorous standards to ensure that your pet receives the highest quality care available.

When your pet requires emergency or specialty care, there's tremendous peace of mind knowing that all the veterinary expertise you may need is in one convenient location. But at Powers Pet Emergency and Specialty, our emergency animal hospital experts don't just share space under one roof.

Our mission is to provide state of the art medicine and compassionate care for pets and the people who love them. Our team of board-certified specialists combine their extensive training with cutting-edge equipment to address your pet's surgical, imaging and medical needs.

The veterinarians working in the emergency room are residents and interns in emergency medicine training programs. They are supported by a team of veterinary technicians who only work in the emergency room and veterinary students.

As in human emergency rooms, The Pet Emergency Room triages the most acute, life-threatening cases first. During extremely busy periods, more stable patients may need to wait while these critical cases are stabilized. A veterinary technician will take a brief history and the patient's vital signs prior to the emergency doctor examining the patient.

When you need an emergency veterinarian we'll be there for you. The emergency medicine service is staffed by experienced emergency doctors 24/7/365. The emergency service was established almost four decades ago and is the cornerstone of the hospital in our service to the pet-owning community.
